Recently, Sept 1, 2001, I was privileged to attend the Pitchford Family reunion in Eastern Alabama. I met many of my cousins whom I had not seen in many years. Mayme Linch Pitchford was my mothers half-sister. Mayme's mother passed away in 1898 and John Hamilton Linch re-married Eliza Corday Ponder. My mother was born in 1911 in Dadeville, Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
